Through the prototype we wanted to recreate in a smaller scale the experience within the courtyard.
Components used for the prototype
- A similar pavement made with painted plywood
- A wood support to attack the projector to the roof
- An elastic band to put the videocamera on the projector
- A tube of a strong paper, nails and rice to create the natural sound of the breath
- Four tables to set the sottoportego and the courtyard
- Two pressure pads
- Arduino board
- Servo motor
- One computer
Pressure pad
Only for the prototype we used two pressure pads to calculate the speed of visitor entry. In the real installation are more appropriates two photocell sensors.
Sound of the breath
We made a tube of strong paper pierced with the nails and filled with rice. When the tube swings the rice falls down making a noise similar to breath. The use of nails was useful to slow down the fall of rice grains.
