Real Installation

The real installation would be made of the components described below.

On top of the 2 roofs there are 2 big square mirrors moved by 2 servomotors and controlled by an Arduino 10000. The servos will move in ralation to 2 variables - the season and the time - set within the code inside the microcontroller.

Another custom-built controller is used to manage the 150 servomotors corresponding to the 50×3 grid of circular mirrors together with the 50×3 photodetectors which trigger them.

3 videocameras, placed in front of the wall hit by the light projections, will analyse the size of the light dots through a blob algorythm. As soon as a person steps on the light dot, the light reflection will move and change shape, for it won’t be anymore projected on the wall but on the person itself.
These changes will be then detected by a blob algorithm that can see only the light dots. Thanks to this algorithm the mirror corresponding to the light dot that moved and changed shape will be activated making the light dot going up and down the wall.

All the components will be connected to a computer with a processor sufficient to manage simultaneous video streams and to activate all the servomotors with minimum latency. The whole system will be powered by a solar panel; in fact, since the installation works just with sunlight it is appropiate to use the sun also as its power source.
