Our research started from the principle of finding which media could result to be the most appropriate to render from afar the intimate and confidential exchanges nomally taking place between lovers.
We were searching for an experience more allusive than literal, meaning that we do not find appealing at all whatever simulaton of the physical proximity of a distant beloved one.
At first we explored the possibilities offered by sand, due to its tactile quality.
Then we tested a solution halfway between the tactile and the visual experience.
In the end we chose a solution adopting the metaphors of water and wind as ideal carriers of messages exchanged between lovers.
