WHY ARDUINO IS NOT IDEAL

(in the picture: a circuit prepared with the help of Professor Davide Rocchesso that should convert an analog sound to a digital one )

After some experiment we noticed that it was really difficult to generate a good quality sound with Arduino, because of the conversion of the sound
• from analogue to digital
(using the microphone)
• and from digital to analog (using speakers).
The result was a noisy and disturbed sound, really unpleasant.

OUR SOLUTION

(in the picture: we’re building the wave shield)

“Wave Shield” is an analog audio shield for the Arduino and it allows to play audio sound bytes.

ABOUT RECORDING?

(in the picture: the connection between shield and microphone)

The voice shield can send and receive sounds, but there it is also posssible to implement it with a microphone.
In this way the microphone can use the sound converter of the shield and record the voice (analog) with good quality.
