Steli’s features make it perfect for a pair of places that are in front of each other, not too distant nor too close.
In our case, for instance, we chose the two sides of Canale della Giudecca in Venice.
When
The instrument would work all day long, but its perfect moment is at night-time, when the LED suggestions for which notes to play would be easily visible and users would catch a glimpse of their collaborators on the opposite side.
Users
Steli could be played by everyone: amateurs, children, musicians, even by the wind.
Mood
Steli’s mood could change depending on who is playing it.
If moved by the wind, it could be subtle and poetic, whereas a human interaction would be more delightful and involving.
