… Critical reflections

Things which went well
We came up with the concept pretty early and we have been keeping it until the end of the project.
One of the more important aspect that our app could potentially offer is to change the bad mood which people have about high tide days.
Even if we have spend big effort to develop the code we are very satisfied to have created an app that allows user to use the iPhone also in a “tangible way”.

Things which went not so well
The complexity of the project left us uncertain about a lot of aspects until the very end of the design phase. For this reason some areas of the project could have been developed deeper. Unfortunately it took a lot of time to define the final graphics for the interface and the animations inside it because we were too tied to a traditional and rigid layout. Probably, if we had more time we would try to code other parts of the application, like the compass function or the real use of the camera. The wish to use the iPhone in all its potentials took a big effort to develop a well-done processing prototype. At the end, the prototype run very well on the laptop but slower on the iPhone.
