4. Prototype

The most important aspect of the installation is the user’s experience.
We wanted to create a mysterious atmosphere in the alley, communicating to them the presence of the past in an accurate way.

For these reasons we constructed an artificial alley which simulated those common in Venice. We built a ’stone’ floor and a wall with a window, put ivy on the opposite wall and obscured the alley to give the user the condition of light which allowed the installation to start.
