Kyo is inspired by Japanese culture, reinterpreting its atmosphere, shapes, colours and patterns. A deep study of the patterns allowed us to redesign them in a detailed and precise way. Attention to details and nuances has been a fundamental point of the graphic project. All the patterns have been designed starting from original Japanese drawings, typical of fabric rather than origami paper. Even the icons that allow interaction with the software are inspired by the symbols used for origami instructions. In this way we have tried to introduce, in the field of mobile phone graphics, a zen mood, minimal and rational about structure, that contrasts with the contemporary mood of mobile phone graphics.
