Location
The software is designed for Venice for two reasons: it’s a small city and students are used to having parties at home because there not much night life.

Users and stakeholders
Only university students can join the community. They may be Venetians, coming from other cities but it’s important that they’re all attending a Venetian university. In this way we can assure a specific range of people (about 19-28 years old), with similar needs and way of life. It’s also important that they all live in Venice so they can reach each other easily.
Venetian Universities may be our stakeholders supporting What’s Cooking?

Mission and mood
The purpose of the software is having fun and meeting new and interesting people: it’s not so important whether you’re a good cook or not: what matters is the fun of being together.
Organizing a dinner with What’s cooking? is quick and enjoyable. We want users to “feel at home”: the design is warm and comfortable, and the language informal.

Goals
What’s cooking? allows you to:
_find people with the same tastes in cuisine;
_invite them to dinner;
_socialize with your university mates;
_upload dinner pictures and comment on them.

Criteria for success
We consider our software succesful if, in a few months, the relationship network of students – who joined the community without any friends – grows bigger and bigger. This will mean they would have found What’s cooking? safe and easy and fun.
