Bluetooth Logo

The Bluetooth 2.0 technology allows mobiles to send and receive information. The application uses this technology to transfer the Ring tin tin installer from one mobile to the other, and to store the identification number of every mobile. This enables the application, written in Mobile Processing (Javascript), to tell how many times the same mobile has been encountered.

The operative range of this kind of transmission varies from 10 to 20mt; this means that users, after having met several times, could start associating a nick name to an actual face. ( Bluetooth | know more )

Logo Java

In order to run the application it is necessary to have installed a Java Platform on the mobile. Java is a programming language originally developed by Sun Microsystems and released in 1995 as a core component of Sun’s Java platform. The language derives much of its syntax from C and C++ but has a simpler object model and fewer low-level facilities. Java applications are typically compiled to bytecode which can run on any Java virtual machine (JVM) regardless of computer architecture. ( Java | web source )

MobProcessing

Mobile Processing is an open source programming environment for people who want to design and prototype software for mobile phones. It is based on and shares the same design goals as the open source Processing project. Sketches programmed using Mobile Processing run on Java Powered mobile devices. ( know more )
