The most interesting thing is the "random event". I like the idea of something that happen all of a sudden from the audience point of view. I hope it would be funny and easy for the wannabe actors.

The interesting thing is forcing two persons to do something in a narrow field. People see each other sometimes at the supermarket, in the train, by street.. but it's hard to break the ice. The simoultaneus bark in those situations is great.

I think it's a very useful and altruist service, caus sometimes there are a lot of people with the same problem, but there isn't communication between them. This could be the solution for creating a community of persons that can help and encourage each other, but also be controlled

It's a very interesting idea. The great challenge is to know exactly what agoraphobics feel! See if this can help you a bit

Thank you all!

Monica -> in our idea the mobile allows you to keep "secretly" in contact with others, even a few moments before the performance. We believe that such a service should not take a lot of time in daily routine and that improvisation is the way to keep it fresh and more interesting.

Anna -> indeed we are narrowing down the users, as it also came out from the crit. We're thinking about political movements or associations.

Roberto -> for meeting problems you mean what Monica was saying? it would be nice to know more about what you think...for what concerns the feedbacks through the let's call it "bluetooth hat" we're already trying to design an effective interaction that goes a bit further the idea presented at the crit.

Your comments are welcome (they already helped us!). We'll try to keep you informed about the work in progress.

I like the project and, me too, the metaphor, even if I would prefer a nice real dog "sniffing" interesting people for me and helping me to get in touch ;).
However I'm not convinced by the evolution phase of the approach. The "common contacts" system should be a limit, if I start with the idea to know new people..? And I fear that should not be simple to "sniff" an interesting person three times, so casually.. Maybe some hints will help the dogmasters searching/findings themself again.
Anyway great idea, good work

Uhm... I think that nowadays in Venice the carnival has a big potential, but is not well structured, so it loses great part of its fascination.. A lot of people knows the typical atmosphere you can breathe here, so they come in Venice for carnival expecting such a misterious, dark, maybe horror ambientation. Or simply they expects to find in this strange town the way fo feel themself strange, crazy and so on, allowed not only by the masks, but by the city itself. Instead of it, what are they going to feel? I think only confused for the endless flows of people that don't know where to go, where and how to have fun, people that can't (or maybe are scared to) meet other people....
Try to find the way to adapt the carnival to the venetian atmosphere! Good luck!

To Ivan:
tha final part of the project (PLAY) is designed to allow people to know what contacts have in common, so they can just take some information about them or talk about them in general. To the other side we want that the software allows you to meet people while you don't do anything, it all works in an automatic way.
Finally I thank you for the good and witty comment.

Unfortunately I missed your presentations, and with it maybe some details. Anyway i'll try to tell you my ideas.
I think the idea could be works, it's very nice and very italian.
If I had well understand, your software let the people to be in touch with somone who has the same food interests or needs.
As Patricia said, it maybe needs something that keep the users on the mobile.
What happen if I only have few things to eat? Can I ask people to have a lunch toghether to mix our food? Or maybe, why dont let the people use the software also as a notepad to make a list of what they have to buy at the supermarket? In that way other users know what you have in your freezer and maybe sugget you some recipes or whatever. At the same time you allow people to use the software not only to invite people but also to do a normal thing as go to the supermarket that can be an attractive point for the software.
What i mean is that I like to think about the mobile not only to a device with a lot of applications, but like something which can help us in the everyday life. I like applications that are quick to use and that help us in little things. To tell it in italian: Ciò che mi piace è pensare ad applicazioni che si sciolgono nei gesti quotidiani. Magari senza percepirne il vero utilizzo nel momento immediato, ma in mancanza delle quali si tende a sentirsi un po' perduti.
