EDUCATION
– Liceo scientifico (scientific High School).
– Undergraduate degree in Industrial Design (specialising in Multimedia and Graphic Design) at Sapienza University, Rome.
- Graduate degree in Visual and Multimedia Communication, specialising in Interaction Design at IUAV University of Venice.
EXPERIENCE
- Graduate thesis: WallStation: A Web application to support design (supervisor: Gillian Crampton Smith). An application allowing designers, collaborating on the same project but in different places, to share ideas and documents.
- Summer 2008: I participated in the Festival of the Mediterranean in Pula, Croatia [blog]
- I enjoy brainstorming and thinking which technologies could be used to solve particular problems. I have experience building websites: I worked as a web designer for my university, Sapienza. I can use Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash animation, Dreamweaver, Cinema 4D, AutoCAD and Rhinoceros, and have made prototypes using Processing and Flash.
- I am a contributor and developer of Random Clapping, IUAV University’s Interaction Design student website.
- I am a contributors and developer of IUAV-cast, IUAV’s web radio/TV.
- I did a three-month internship at H-umus, part of H-Farm, the hi-tech incubator company in Treviso. I worked there on an interactive window for Beretta and TIM Mobile Brazil. I also designed an interactive display shelf for shoe shops.
INTERESTS
Web design, digital design, interaction design, 3D video 3d, graphics, visual design. I am particularly interested in the Web and all communication and interaction projects which use it.
LANGUAGES
Mother tongue: Italian. My English greatly improved having followed IUAV’s Interaction Design programme, which is conducted in English.

This graduate thesis investigates computer tools for remote collaboration. Though it is now easy to send files and e-mail via the Internet, it is more difficult to keep track of the material, ideas and messages of a typical design project. Existing applications for this typically result in lists of files, very different from the wallboards that many designers working together in one place use for keeping track of a project. This thesis describes various approaches to remote working and the visualization of documents, and proposes an application, WallStation, to overcome some of the problems. WallStation adopts the metaphor of the pinboard, using representations of pictures and documents which can be grouped visually and viewed by team members wherever they happen to be.

An interactive installation offering an extraordinary experience in one of Venice’s most beautiful and secluded places. People become orchestra directors; their musicians are ripples in the Lagoon; and their instruments are projected water lilies.

An interactive installation made at Media Mediterranea in Pula, Croatia, in August 2008. By jumping or simply walking over it, the public interact with an ‘intelligent’ carpet on which are projected different shapes depending on the intensity and position of foot pressure.

During this internship I worked on two major projects: ACRIB ( interactive point-of-sale solutions for shoe shops) and TIM Mobile Brazil (a concept for an interactive showcase).

An open-air installation which tells visitors to the Venice Ghetto about Jewish culture and history in an interactive and ludic manner.
